Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye

He was born in 1966 in Trabzon.

After graduating from Karadeniz Technical University Civil Engineering Department in 1988, URALOĞLU worked as a Field Engineer in the private sector in the same year.

Starting his career at the Directorate General of Highways as Survey Team Engineer at Erzurum 12th Regional Directorate of Highways in 1989, URALOĞLU worked as Survey Team Engineer, Control Engineer and Control Chief at Ankara 4th Regional Directorate of Highways between 1990 and 1998, and then he was appointed as Chief Construction Engineer at Erzurum Regional Directorate in 1998.

In 2003, URALOĞLU was appointed as Trabzon 10th Regional Deputy Director, Kayseri 6th Regional Director in 2005 and Samsun 7th Regional Director in 2006.

In 2009, URALOĞLU, who was appointed as Bursa 14th Regional Director of Highways for a short period of time, returned to Samsun and served as Regional Director in Samsun for a total of 6.5 years.

In 2012, URALOĞLU was appointed as Izmir 2nd Regional Director and was appointed as General Director of Highways by the Presidential Decree published on 23 July 2018.

URALOĞLU contributed to the realisation of divided roads, Bituminous Hot Mix paved roads, improvement of single platform roads and Build-Operate-Transfer Motorway projects, which gained intensity within the scope of the Emergency Action Plan initiated in 2003.

URALOĞLU, which carries out the construction, planning and project design works of new motorway, divided road, bridge and tunnel projects that will provide significant gains to the highway network of our country, also attaches special importance to research and development activities for the renewal of the Highways Machinery Park and increasing the rate of domestic and national vehicle usage.

In 2018 Ünye, 2019 Araklı, 2021 Rize Artvin, 2021 Ayancık, 2021 Kastamonu flood disasters, 2021 Antalya-Muğla fires, 2020 Elazığ, 2020 İzmir and 6 February earthquakes, he actively worked in the field to ensure transportation and eliminate the negative consequences of the disaster.

He also served as the Chairman of the Turkish National Roads Committee (YTMK), Highways Foundation (KAV) and TT Mobil Board of Directors.

Abdulkadir URALOĞLU is married and has three children.
