Transportation connections and transport; It is important for all countries who want to export and import at the lowest possible prices and aim to enter the international market. Since the regulated transport system is a priority requirement for the competition of goods, international trade relations are not possible without transporting. Modern cargo transport requires the use of ISO containers and today, the container transportation is organized by transportation and prefers multimodal transportation to the door. Multimodal transport, load flow and transportation by providing control over the transportation chain allows international trade possible.
TRACECA is a multimodal corridor in terms of its definition, and TRACECA countries aim to develop the appropriate value development of the reliable transport chain. In the IGC TRACECA strategy, uninterrupted load flow in the region is guaranteed through different transportation modes and different countries. Although this aim is still on the agenda, many policies should be prepared and implemented to achieve this goal. The dominant maritime/port transportation in the region is the core of the multimodal chain.
The distribution of freight transportation according to modes on the TRACECA route is as follows:
Load carried by road: 47 %
The load carried by internal waterways: 8 %
Air Cargo: 1 %
Cargo carried by railway: 44 %
