Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation
TRACECA Memorandums is the primary basis for cooperation and coordination with international financial institutions, transport associations, chambers of commerce, International Non -Governmental Organizations (INGO) and similar organizations in various sectors of transportation.
Basic principles and cooperation areas in the signed memorandums correspond to the following objectives of the basic multilateral agreement (MLA):
a) Developing economic relations, trade and transportation communication in Europe, Black Sea, Caucasus, Caspian Sea and Asia;
b) facilitating access to the international highway, air and railway transport market and also commercial sea navigation;
c) Facilitating the international transportation of hydrocarbons with international goods and passenger transport;
d) To ensure traffic safety, property safety and protection of the environment;
e) To comply with the transportation policy and the legal framework in the field of transport;
f) To create equal competition conditions between different types of transport.
Memorandums, National Secretariats representing the TRACECA member states, international financial institutions, transportation associations, chambers of commerce and similar institutions in their countries to assist the Secretary General in the establishment and development of relations (Article 6.8.3. With the decision of the IGC, they have a key role in the process of signing agreement with international organizations and international financial institutions (Article 4.1.9, PS IGC TRACECA Statute).
